Little by little the summer wanes but our journeys in Alentejo are still full of fruits from the warm days. During the last 4 km before the four thousand kilometers milestone we collected grapes, olives and figs from road side trees.
I like to keep statistics: kilometers per day, time we pedal, average speed, money spent (divided into travel, eat, sleep and other categories).
So far, with the kilometer four thousand almost arriving and 55 days of cycling, these are the numbers:

So far we travelled 1’000km in Portugal. The first cycling experience in the country on this trip, between Gerês and Apúlia (coast) was not the most pleasant: some roads with many cars and dangerous overpasses. However, that was so far the worst case. We did 11 stages after our holidays in Apúlia and we are very pleased with cycling in Portugal.
