Récit de notre étape de Santiago de Compostela à Apúlia (24.7. au 1.8.2016)

Après notre « rush » pour Santiago, nous avons tout à coup beaucoup de temps. Pour une étape que nous pourrions faire en 3 à 4 jours, il nous reste 9 jours de voyage jusqu’à notre rendez-vous avec la famille. Nous décidons donc de visiter encore un peu plus de Galicia. Two thousand kilometers

On the 25th July, at the top of the hill between Pontevedra and Carballiño we celebrated the 2’000km of our trip.

Finally, as we have some time left to arrive to the Portuguese coast, we decided to zigzag a bit and pass by Ourense and Gerês National Park in the North of Portugal to relax. More information on that on the next updates.

A surprise – Centro Niemeyer

Sometimes there are nice surprises. Like on that day when we cycled from Gijón to Avilés, through one of the most industrial regions we’ve cycled through so far, with fuming chimneys, dusty roads and all kinds of funny smells in the air. The travelling sourdough

As some of you may know, we were already passionate about making our own bread. Back home, we hadn’t bought bread in a store for probably two years! We also had our sourdough, about 3 or 4 years old, who had become sturdy enough to survive even our 3-week holidays in the fridge. So we thought it would be a pity to throw it away, and it became the travelling sourdough!
